at Chelsea Career and Technical education high school we are re-imagining the high school experience in service to our lions we are proud of our career-wise apprenticeship program which is provided our students with meaningful career Pathways and real world experiences since 2020 many of our students have successfully completed apprenticeships demonstrating exceptional professionalism perseverance and growth I'm continually impressed by the diligence commitment and work ethic our apprentices bring to this opportunity hi my name is Ron Richards and Iha Chelsea hi my name is Arya Singh and I attend Chelsea CTE high school so the hardest part of my elevator pitch was memorizing what I wanted to say because you have to explain who you are and your skills in such a short amount of time you don't want to take too many pauses because then time is going to run out and then you won't have you won't be able to say everything you want to so I had to learn how to explain my skills and show who I was through Smiles through different notifications that I achieved from here at Chelsea to be able to show why I should be chosen as an apprentice what the elevator pitch um it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be but it was kind of like grasping the idea I was like selling yourself in a sense to a company or a workplace that you want to work and it really taught me that if I want to sell myself I got to be quick I have to stay all of my achievements all my certificates and that also that I also have to be how do I say like stoic in a sense I don't want to seem too over ecstatic but I also want to present myself well hello my name is Tiana I am a Chelsea student and I'm a part of the career rights program okay my name is William sookram I'm also a student at Chelsea and I'm also part of the apprenticeship program hi how you doing my name is Drew sing I'm a senior here at Chelsea my name is Ronald um I'm a junior in Chelsea CT high school and I'm also a part of the career wise program which on my Apprentice for Accenture hello my name is Angel Luis Rodriguez I'm an apprentice here at Chelsea City High School and I am a well about to be a graduating senior hi my name is Asante Boge hi my name is Jaden Rivera I am a part the career wise program because I want to expand my opportunities for my future career as a computer engineer I'm also part of the program because I want to work on my work experience for later jobs that give me up to opportunities along with me just preparing for life and um Miss Nicholson and miss Catherine my sophomore year they introduced me to this program called Career wise which is like you find jobs and apprenticeships on there and you apply through the portal and they were like my mentors which they guided me to to process of applying to the interviews they helped set up mock interviews for me so um I was like prepared I've learned I've I've grown into the position into the man I am as of today I have dealt with many projects and I've never worked with a lot of people that have truly inspired me to even uh continue with my journey at a censure yeah as an apprentice I would say that being in my Cisco class does definitely help because I focused a lot of presentations in Cisco so that skill alone already kind of set me up in success from the beginning and I already had some skill uh presentation based skills to go along with it and I further just enhanced it while I was at Accenture so I think CC really just gave me a level of um love for technology and even though c tech is more Hands-On I wanted to learn as much as I could about the different types and expenses more um Ai and software focused their success inspires us to expand participation and encourage even more students to take advantage of this valuable and rewarding partnership
